CineVend uses kiosks to sell souvenirs to movie fans

ePaynews.com:CineVend, a Seattle-based vending firm that supplies promotional goods for the movie industry, has credit card-enabled a CD- and DVD-dispensing machine for installation inside a movie house. The wall-mounted CinePod vending machines are placed near the exit of individual theaters within cineplexes to capture impulse buyers and movie fans who want to buy souvenirs or gifts after seeing a show. After swiping a credit card, customers can choose a CD or DVD from photographs on the machine in a purchase transaction that is completed within seconds.
