Change in Power creates new name, symbol

MARKHAM, Ontario - New business opportunities have led to a name change from Power Kiosks Inc. to Power Interactive Media Inc.

The public company changed its trading symbol on the OTCBB from PWKK to PIAM.

In a news release, the company said the change was made to reflect the company's new focus as a developer and supplier of a network of interactive, multimedia "point-of-purchase" advertising/entertainment machines, rather than just a developer of entertainment photo kiosks.

The company markets machines that allow individuals to insert their own face into a variety of environments or situations, and have a number of applications in development. For instance, at the Super Bowl in January, visitors to the NFL Experience were able to print photos with their own images inserted into photos of NFL quarterbacks. The company has developed license agreements with a number of professional sports leagues and organizations to use likenesses in the photos.
