Continental Prison Systems Inc. today announced that it is continuing to expand its strategic partnership with commissary leader Canteen Services of Michigan. The partnership allows EZ Card and Kiosk to deploy its "cashless jail" solutions into several existing county jail facilities throughout counties in the state of Michigan.
Canteen Services of Michigan, a provideer in commissary, food and inmate accounting services in the jail corrections space, is a licensed franchise of Canteen Corp. for a number of counties in Michigan. Since the beginning of the partnership, EZ Card and Kiosk and Canteen Services of Michigan have deployed to eight facilities, including the counties of Ingham, Cass, Branch, Clare, Jackson, Kent, Muskegon and Newaygo, with another eight slated for implementation by the end of 2011.
Canteen Services of Michigan National Account Manager Mike Kraushaar said it would be an understatement to say he's excited by the partnership.
"The EZ Card and Kiosk team has made this transition smooth and rewarding for all parties involved," he said in the announcement. "I look forward to a long, prosperous relationship, both companies enjoying growth as we work together."
"These types of strategic relationships with industry leaders is what EZ Card and Kiosk has strived for since the inception of the company over three years ago," Continental Prison Systems CEO Ronald Hodge said in the announcement. "Canteen Services of Michigan has the same goals as we do: Save our facility partners time, money and make them more productive while working within their current reduced budgets."
EZ Card and Kiosk has currently expanded its financial transaction services offerings into the county courts, probation departments and municipal police departments, incorporating similar alternative payment technology in assisting these government entities to streamline their operations and meet their obligations to the public under reduced operating budgets.
