Cantaloupe, Inc. has acquired Cheq Lifestyle Technology Inc., a provider of self-service solutions for sports, entertainment and restaurants. The acquisition aims to expand Cantaloupe's reach into these rapidly growing sectors. CHEQ's technology includes mobile ordering, socially connected payments, real-time reporting and remote support, according to a press release.
"The acquisition of CHEQ expands Cantaloupe's addressable market into a new and rapidly growing sector," Ravi Venkatesan, CEO of Cantaloupe, Inc., said in the press release. "There is tremendous synergy between both of our product lines and solutions that will grow our footprint across our combined customer base."
CHEQ's client roster includes professional sports teams like the Washington Commanders (NFL), Florida Panthers (NHL), Philadelphia Union (MLS) and Miami Marlins (MLB), as well as venues like the CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore and festival organizer Loud & Live. The acquisition provides Cantaloupe access to markets including sports stadiums, entertainment venues, festivals, hospitality, theme parks and restaurants. CHEQ also brings an enterprise-grade POS platform, omnichannel solutions, social connectivity and team and venue customizations to Cantaloupe's offerings.
