Canadian kiosks to provide cannabis education

October 23, 2018

Cannvas MedTech Inc., a business technology company for the cannabis industry, has announced plans to install a network of learning kiosks in high-traffic retail areas across Canada.

The kiosks, to be deployed under the company's newly formed Cannvas Cannabis Acquisitions brand, are meant to improve accessibility to free and unbiased information about the potential benefits of medical and adult-use cannabis, which was made legal on Oct. 17, according to a press release.

"Cannabis education [did] not stop on October 17 and as communities across Canada prepare for a post-legalization world, Cannvas wants to reach out to people nationwide to provide free and accessible learning resources where they eat, shop and live," said Steve Loutskou, CEO of Cannvas Cannabis and Chief Operating Officer of Global Markets at Cannvas MedTech.

"By working with leading experts in franchising and licensing, we expect to roll out our educational cannabis kiosks in retail outlets across the country with relevant information contextualized to each location, and data geared toward the needs of local users."

Kiosk content will be powered by the Cannvas.Me platform, a comprehensive, scalable solution for the global medical cannabis community, the release said. Cannvas.Me offers interactive tools and physician-backed content to those who wish to learn about health care through cannabis.

Cannvas is currently working with Canadian regulators and compliance bodies to work out details related to the launch of its learning kiosks, the release said.
