Mobile marketing provider BYNDL has formed a strategic alliance with USA Technologies, a provider of cashless payment services for self-service vending. The purpose of the alliance is to bring mobile marketing capabilities to USAT’s customer base, the companies announced.
USAT's ePort Connect, the company's flagship technology platform, is a PCI-compliant suite of cashless payment services for small-ticket, self-service vending industries. Under the terms of the alliance, the two companies will work together to offer BYNDL's mobile products to customers of USAT's ePort Connect.
BYNDL offers loyalty programs, coupons, gamification and data on customer preferences and purchases, as well as mobile-based customer support at unattended machines. By joining with USAT, BYNDL will be able to connect to any vending management system and BYNDL products will work with mobile payment technologies including QR codes, NFC and text messaging-based transactions services as well as with USAT’s eBeacon BLE technology, according to the announcement.
"We are delighted to work with USAT to provide a combined set of capabilities that we believe will drive innovative services in unattended retail," Lori Salow Marshall, BYNDL’s founder and CEO, said in a statement.
Examples of proposed services to be offered by BYNDL and USAT include:
"The self-service retail industry understands that consumers will increasingly demand a mobile solution that goes beyond payments," Stephen Herbert, USAT’s chairman and CEO, said in a statement. "Partnering with BYNDL adds another resource to our mobile payment service."
