BrightSign LLC media players integrate with Revel Digital media distribution platform

BrightSign LLC has announced that its LS, XD and XT media players are now fully compatible with the Revel Digital media distribution platform. Revel's web-based UI makes it easy to manage a nearly limitless range of endpoints, including kiosks, digital menu boards, point-of-sale devices, video walls, beacons and more, according to a press release. 

"Our customers often ask if they can run Revel Digital on our players, so we're keenly aware of the pent-up demand for Revel-BrightSign interoperability," BrightSign CEO Jeff Hastings said in the press release. 

Revel Digital's rule-based scheduler takes a natural language approach not only to scheduling content, but also to utilizing various conditional play triggers such as audience metrics, beacons and motion sensors. This frees the network administrator to focus on the big picture rather than on individual devices, the release said.
