Boston and London-based Bouncepad, provider of table and kiosk enclosures, announced an upgrade to its product line to support enterprise-friendly tablets for use in public spaces like airports, banks, campuses, office buildings, restaurants and retail shops. The move is designed to help organizations integrate more tablet-based platforms in their business operations by supporting Windows tablets and select 7-8-inch Windows and Android tablets and iPad Air and iPad Mini models.
The added compatibility with Windows tablets allows organizations to leverage the same processors and Windows 8 software they’ve already established. The devices are designed to seamlessly integrate hard-wired data connections and third-party peripherals.
The 7-8-inch Mini cases include a lock and key system and provide WiFi connectivity and concealed cabling. The company also developed a right-angled Micro USB cable to accommodate some of the newly supported tablets.
"There has been a seismic shift in operations in sectors like education, finance, government and healthcare" said Tobi Schneidler, CEO of Bouncepad, in a statement. "We’re seeing organizations move away from their existing legacy equipment and utilizing tablets as the device of choice for their business. Increasing tablet support is a necessary step for us to meet the demand for tablets in the business world."
