Bitcoin ATM set to blow into the Windy City

A Chicago Bitcoin hobbyist is planning to deploy an ATM-like kiosk that allows Bitcoin users to trade them for cash, according to DNAinfo Chicago.

Rich Gatz, a liability claims specialist and Bitcoin hobbyist, has formed Windy City Bitcoin in hopes of opening "the first ATM-like kiosk in the Midwest" for Bitcoin/cash exchange, the site reported. The kiosk will come from from Las Vegas-based Robocoin, which manufactures a Bitcoin ATM that exchanges cash for bitcoin and vice versa.

Robocoin also is shipping one of the kiosks to to the East Coast in January, and that should become the first operational Robocoin Bitcoin kiosk in the U.S.
