Bill-payment kiosk manufacturer rolls out power-outage battery solution

Battery Backup Power Inc. has partnered with Parlan Kiosk Solutions to provide a bill-payment kiosk solution for power outages, according to a Battery Backup Power press release.

With bill-payment kiosks, if power is lost during the process, it can easily lead to a variety of problems including unconfirmed payments or the transaction not being submitted. Parlan Kiosk Solutions is attempting to solve this issue by integrating Backup Power's uninterruptible power supply as an add-on option for its kiosks.

This power supply, according to the release, provides a maximum of 30 minutes of backup power and allows customers to finish their transactions during power outages.
