Axiomtek releases open-frame, slim-panel computer for kiosks

Taipei, Taiwan-based Axiomtek announced the release of new FDK series computers for indoor kiosks and other applications. The new open frame panel computer is part of Axiomtek's FDK150-830, FDK170-830 and FDK190-830 series and comes with a front panel open frame design, available currently in 15-, 17- and 19-inch LCD sizes. It features an Intel Atom processor N270 1.6 GHz and Intel 945GSE+ICH7M chipset.
 
The FDK series offers several touch screen options, an ultra-slim profile and compact footprint in thickness of up to 65mm for any space. For WiFi & 3G connection, it incorporates a Mini Card slot for expansion capability.
 
This series also provides a side access CompactFlash slot with protective cover, VESA/open frame mounting, and one 2.5-inch SATA HDD bracket for storage device. The I/O connectivity for multiple peripherals includes 4 COM ports, 1 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet, VGA, 4 USB 2.0 ports and audio (Line-out).
 
The low-power FDK series will be available at the end of September. Axiomtek is a designer and manufacturer of PC-based industrial computer products.
