AXIOHM releases modular kiosk printing solution

CINCINNATI, Ohio — AXIOHM, a manufacturer of thermal printing solutions for kiosks, has announced the launch of KMGA, its latest 80mm kiosk printer designed to be modular. Fitting a maximum of functionalities in one design and delivering top modularity to customers, the KMGA printer is now available through all AXIOHM resellers.
Featuring an adjustable print-width system, the KMGA can accommodate paper of 58, 60, 66, 80 and 82.5mm, making it well-suited for integration into a wide range of self-service, informational and transactional kiosk applications.
The product also features a telescopic paper holder offering up to four possible configurations and six angular positions (from +75° to -60°). The unit fits in any type of design and can handle paper rolls of up to 250mm in diameter. It is built with an anti-paper-jam system and a multitude of communication and power connection options.
The unit can handle paper thickness up to 120µm, thereby operating as a ticket or a receipt printer, as well.
The heavy-duty kiosk unit offers a printing speed of up to 180 mm/s, features both RS232 and USB interfaces for ease of integration, has a rear lighting system to facilitate maintenance, is equipped with paper-out and paper-low sensors for accurate monitoring, has an extended operating temperature range of -20 to 60 Celsius (-4 to 140 Fahrenheit) for indoor and outdoor applications and incorporates a jam-free guillotine auto-cutter guaranteed for 1M cuts.
This RoHS-compatible printer comes with a user-friendly HTML set-up and maintenance utility, supports a variety of characters and graphics as well as standard and 2D barcode symbols and operates with drivers for Windows 00/XP/Vista and Linux.
