Aided by an arts grant, artist Nico Dery introduced a vending machine that sells art objects at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art's campus, according to a report in The Berkshire Eagle. The majority of the sales go to the artists that create the work.

Dery said she was inspired for the machine, called Art Vending North Adams, by the Art-o-mat, which artist Clark Whittington launched in 1997 using a cigarette vending machine.

The machine artwork from more than 20 local artists includes paintings, drawings, sculptures and other items, ranging in price from $2 to $50. The machine accepts cash/debit and credit cards.

The machine's website provides information about the artists.
