Kiosk manufacturer Armodilo Displays has announced it has acquired a second computer-numerical-control milling machine to its in-house equipment. It will use this to meet the demand for more custom kiosk enclosures for tablets, according to the press release.
"We are seeing an increase in orders that are branded, customized and particularly configured for each of our clients," said Iles Guran, founder and creative director, Armodilo. "After adding the first machine last year, we've seen an increase in the amount of custom work we're doing and a second machine was required."
Armodilo uses its tablet enclosures to offer digital signage solutions to its clients.
"We are creating some really cool one of a kind tablet enclosure designs for our clients and helping them take our off-the-shelf units and making them unique for their deployments," Guran said.
In addition to the CNC milling machine, the company has also added a CNC router and laser cutting and engraving tools to increase its output of custom tablet enclosures.
"We can easily add card-readers, bar code scanners, power buttons and holes and a variety of other highly requested features right in house," Guran said.
