PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz. -- Home buying in this market is big business, so real estate agents are turning to new, high-tech marketing tools to draw customers.
According to a report in The Arizona Republic, the era of the colored sports coat and magnetic sign on the side of the car is over. That stuff is too hokey. There are a record number of people selling property in Arizona, and more than 41,000 people licensed to help them, according to the Arizona Department of Real Estate.
Realty Executives has responded to the competition by putting up its first interactive home sales center. The kiosk in Paradise Valley Mall has color photos and listings for more than 60 homes, talking ads for the properties, mortgage calculators and e-mail options to start the process of buying a house.
It makes the "house-hunting process more convenient," said John Foltz, president of Realty Executives.
