The city of Baltimore, Maryland has launched a job kiosk pilot program at the Central Library/State Library Resource Center and at two career centers.
The program is collaboration between job kiosk provider Apploi, the Mayor's Office of Employment Development and the Enoch Pratt Free Library. The company's job kiosk allows job seekers to search and apply for positions and can be used with mobile and desktop devices.
The launch coincides with Apploi's #Million4Christmas campaign, a branch of the company's #JobConnect initiative, attempting to connect one million job seekers to employment by Christmas.
"Using the latest digital technologies, Apploi expands opportunities for Baltimore job seekers to easily identify and successfully apply for job openings," said Mayor’s Office of Employment Development Director Karen Sitnick in a press release. “We are motivated to provide the best in new job search and preparation tools to improve linking our local workforce to sustainable employment.”
