Appetize names Knutson-Ratto, Avakian and Pratts to new roles

Appetize, a provider of a cloud point-of-sale and management platform for self-service, retail and foodservice, has tapped industry veteran Robbie Knutson-Ratto as senior vice president of product, one of three newly-announced executive appointments. Knutson-Ratto was global vice president of product and general manager for accounting software company Xero, and will now be responsible for Appetize's product management and overseeing the product roadmap and development, according to a press release.

Appetize expanded its product and development team over the last year, with industry veteran Alain Avakian joining as CTO. Avakian is responsible for leading a team of over 200 technology experts and engineers with a focus on scaling the organization across project management, development, quality assurance and security.

In addition, co-founder Jason Pratts has expanded his role from COO to CIO.
