ATLANTA -- AfterBOT, a provider of digital receipt technology, says it has earned IBM"StoreProven" status. "StoreProven" is a program in which vendors run a variety of tests to ensure that their solutions meet compatibility standards established by IBM.
AfterBOT's Retail InSIGHT Management product is being demonstrated at the 2003 National Retail Federation Convention and Expo running on an IBM kiosk, according to a news release.
According to the release, AfterBOT's Retail InSIGHT Management uses an atomic-level point-of-sale database created by its ReceiptsPLUS platform to enable a host of customer, marketing and business services designed to increase operational efficiency, enhance customer service, improve margins and increase sales. The integrated data is delivered across the extended enterprise via the Web.
"This initiative validates the successful integration of AfterBOT's solution to a kiosk environment in order to deliver unique external views of sales and marketing information inside the store," said Jim Nadler, AfterBOT's vice president of Marketing and Business Development, in the release. "Both consumers and suppliers will be able to view relevant sales activity under secure conditions that protect the integrity of the data and the privacy of the individual user."
John Simon, AfterBOT's chief executive, called achieving IBM Store Proven status "a key next step in the growth and evolution of the company."
