SUNNYVALE, Calif. - American Multiplexer Corp. (OTC:AMUT) will deploy eFotoXpress in kiosks so that tourists may place their digital storage cards into the kiosks and send them via e-mail to anywhere in the world, according to a company news release.
Initially the eFotoXpress kiosks will be placed at high demand tourist locations. Eventually the kiosks will become available at all locations where users come to deposit their disks for printing. There will be a small fee for each e-mail and AMC will have a revenue sharing agreement with the vendors of these kiosks. The project will commence sometime in the third quarter of this year.
In the mean time, a pilot plan to start introducing eFotoXpress at kiosks will begin immediately with cruise ships. These kiosks will be stationed at the ship's business centers, strategic locations and in rooms that have Internet connections.
Edward Tan, President and CEO of AMC, said, "We are very excited about this new market place for the eFotoXpress software product. It provides another opportunity to maximize our revenue streams and accordingly shareholder value."
