American Legion kiosk carries veterans' stories

July 5, 2018

Visitors to the American Legion Hall in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, can now read about military veterans' stories going back 100 years on a touchscreen kiosk, according to KTIV-TV.

Each veteran's name, unit, rank and picture can be found on the kiosk, said Legion webmaster Garry Coon, who served as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam.

The information on the kiosk, which was supported by a Military Human Resources Development grant and private donations, can be accessed on the Internet.

The kiosk is not for local veterans only, but includes all veterans. Forms are available at the American Legion to add information about veterans.
