Alertenterprise adds facial recognition to access control kiosk software

Alertenterprise, a provider of physical identity and access management software, has added biometric facial recognition technology to its visitor management kiosk software, according to biometricupdate.com, to provide access security to organizations for check-in processes by employees, visitors, contractors and guests.

Visitors who authorize the Alertenterprise visitor management kiosk app to capture a facial image and have checked in previously can be immediately recognized by the software, allowing them to bypass the standard registration process. The visitor completes the check-in by confirming visit details, providing a signature and receiving a visitor badge.

The software deliverrs a full access management and physical identity solution when combined with Enterprise Guardian software, according to the announcement.

A future update will integrate "watch" lists to detect individuals who try to enter a facility using an assumed name.
