Aldi Australia expands self-checkout options

Aldi Australia is rolling out self-checkout options in more stores across the country, as part of its commitment to providing a "Good Different" shopping experience, according to a Retail World Magazine Australia report.

"Self-checkouts are not only efficient for our customers, but also support our business operations by freeing up our employees to focus on customer service, stock replenishment and store presentation," Aldi Australia Director of National Store Operations Hayden Pierce told the news outlet.

While self-checkouts are becoming more common, Aldi assures customers that staffed checkouts will remain available.
