Alaska Fur Gallery wraps itself in kiosks

March 17, 2002

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Alaska Fur Gallery, a furrier with eight locations in Alaska and Colorado, has added interactive multimedia kiosks to its stores in the Alaskan cities of Anchorage and Juneau.

The kiosks, designed by Cybertotems Technologies, allow in-store customers to access inventory information, locate out-of-stock merchandise, and download information about the company and its products. Alaska Fur Gallery offers fur and leather products, along with alteration, repair, and storage services. Incorporated in 1989, the company has a factory and show room in Anchorage and also has stores in Vail, Colo., and the Alaskan towns of Skagway, Sitka, and Ketchikan.

Based in Cooper City, Fla., Cybertotems is a full service developer and manufacturer of interactive kiosks for retail, travel, and medical applications with offices in Europe and South America.
