Travelers can now utilize airport kiosks to download recent movies at high speeds, according to a report by Tech Times. The kiosk, developed by Digiboo, allows users to rent movies via a smartphone or tablet Digiboo app.
The kiosk utilizes a dedicated Wi-FI router to transfer 1.3 gigabytes in less than three minutes, according to the report. Since the movie is downloaded to the app, it doesn't require an Internet connection in order to play. The app is available for iOS, Android and Windows devices.
Digiboo plans to place 2,000 additional kiosks in airports by the end of 2016. The kiosk charges $3.99 or $4.99 per movie rental.
