Global payments technology company Adyen has recently announced it processed $50 billion in transactions in 2015, up 100 percent from the previous year. In addition, it has expanded its ominchannel point of sale functionality across the U.S., according to the press release.

Ayden's POS functionality is built on an omnichannel payments platform. This platform is designed to allow businesses to accept online, mobile and POS payments with an integrated EMV enabled solution. It was recently deployed to the U.S., and in 2016 the company plans to expand its omnichannel platform into Australia.

"In a world where commerce is global and shoppers expect the same experience across all touchpoints and geographies, Adyen's ability to process transactions both online and in the physical world on one platform places the company in a completely unique position," said Pieter van der Does, CEO of Adyen.

In addition, the company has added other new payment methods to its platform including Android Pay, Samsung Pay and Apple Pay. It has also launched its risk management solution RevenueProtect and its marketplace payments solution Ayden MarketPay.
