Advanced Methods takes 2005 DIGI Award

March 22, 2005

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - SMART Technologies Inc. has announced in a news release that Actalyst interactive overlays are part of an award-winning digital signage installation designed by Seattle's Advanced Method. In the retail category for installations with fewer than five screens, Advanced Method won a 2005 DIGI Award for its design of interactive building directories for Seattle Design Center. The first DIGI awards recognize innovation and excellence in the digital signage industry and are presented by ActiveLight, a national distributor of advanced displays, projectors and digital signage solutions. Advanced Method was one of 10 award recipients at an award ceremony that took place on March 12 at the NSCA Systems Integration Expo in Orlando, Florida. Advanced Method mounted Actalyst interactive overlays on 37-inch LCDs, producing interactive kiosks where Seattle Design Center visitors can access and search showroom, product, manufacturer, tenant and special-event information. Located at the main entrances to the buildings, the multimedia directories feature text menus, on-screen keypads, floor plans and images that allow visitors to conduct in-depth, customized information searches.
