ADUSA Inc. has announced the upcoming rollout of a new release of its Qi.SO self-order kiosk application software. The January release will introduce several enhancements, according to a company press release.
"We think that accessibility, multilanguage support and content management are key areas that are underserved by software that is on the market today, so we've focused our efforts for this release on enhancing these areas of our overall application suite," ADUSA CEO Juan C. Perez said in the release. "We also made a number of enhancements to the system's UI/UX, as well as its admin capabilities."
Two enhancements that are part of the release will be available in the February 2019 timeframe. The first is an integration of the application with a popular IoT device management platform. The second is a new admin feature that will prompt managers when it is time to take the kiosk offline momentarily for cleaning and sanitation. This feature has been added in light of recent news about harmful bacteria found on touchscreens.
The software update adheres to requirements of the EZ Access accessibility standard, along with integration of Storm Interface assistive technology products, the release said.
