Boston-based AisleBuyer LLC, a provider of mobile checkout solutions, was one of several featured technologies at this year's Ad:Tech New York, as part of the show's Innovation Alley and App Exchange. Ad:Tech, an interactive marketing conference and exhibition, ran last week in New York City. Innovation Alley, a dedicated exhibit space on the Ad:Tech New York event floor, showcased notable startups and bleeding-edge technology providers.
AisleBuyer's mobile checkout app allows shoppers to scan items in a store, review pricing, access ratings and reviews, and check out using a secure connection via their smart phone. Interested users can currently test the app at all Boston-area Magic Beans locations in Brookline, Cambridge, Wellesley and Hingham, Mass. The Magic Beans app, powered by AisleBuyer, is available for free download in the iPhone App Store by searching for "Magic Beans."
AisleBuyer leverages smart phone technology to unite features of both "bricks" and "clicks" retailing. Their platform, which includes a virtual shopping assistant, "location aware" digital circular and patent-pending, mobile self-checkout system provides retailers with a solution designed to increase sales, reduce costs and offer analytical insight into in-store shopping behavior.
