ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Alaska Communications Systems Group, Inc. ("ACS") announced the launch of its revamped Web site (www.acsalaska.com) according to a news release. ACS' new Web site follows on research that indicates people use multiple channels to shop for goods and services. As such, the Web store is a valuable complement to ACS' retail stores and kiosks throughout the state, as well as the company's field representatives and call center representatives.
From calling plans, Internet and television service to the latest in wireless phones and EV-DO PC data cards, the Web store now sells all of ACS' products and services. ACS is the leading integrated communications provider in Alaska, offering local telephone service, wireless, long distance, data, and Internet services to business and residential customers throughout Alaska.
ACS' mission "to be a customer-focused, facilities-based, integrated telecom provider for Alaska" begins when a visitor accesses the new one-stop-shop Web site. Immediately the customer experiences the site's ease of use and availability of information. All services and products can be seamlessly ordered via the Web site, with a personal follow up call from an ACS customer service representative to verify and complete the order process.
Other functionality that has been incorporated into the web site includes the ability to view and pay account balances on line for local, long distance and Internet services.
"Our customers have the opportunity to explore our technology, products and services with all the information just a key stroke away. Our new web store provides the tools to compare and evaluate products and services, and then make a well-informed telecom purchase decision," said Sheldon Fisher, senior vice president of sales and marketing.
