St. Paul, Minn.-based 3M announced the Payment Application Data Security Standard validation of its Library Systems for fines and fees collection.
Validation testing of 3M's SelfPay software and analysis of potential security risks determined that 3M's system meets certification requirements for keeping data safe, according to a company announcement.
"Protecting our customers and their patrons' information is a top priority for 3M, and the PA-DSS validation is further evidence of that," 3M Library Systems Global Business Leader Matt Tempelis said in the release. "Our expanded fines and fees processing solutions were created specifically for the library market, and offer unique solutions to help make libraries more successful while keeping security top-of-mind."
