2006 DIMA Photo Kiosk Shoot-Out Winners announced

With a record turnout of 27 photo kiosks, the third annual DIMA Photo Kiosk Shoot-Out named nine winners in four categories Feb. 25.

The four categories include:

1. Counter-Top Kiosk
2. Floor-Standing DSC Print Kiosk
3. Print-to-print/DSC Print Kiosk
4. Creative Kiosk

The participating kiosks were evaluated by a panel of expert judges, including Francie Mendelsohn of Summit Research Associates, Rockville, Md.; James Bickers of KioskMarketplace.com and SelfServiceWorld.com; and Lawrence Dvorchik of KioskCom. Judges evaluated kiosk systems using criteria such as customization, flexibility of options, reporting and other benefits important to retailers. The winners of the "Expert's Choice" award in each category are as follows:
