More airports worldwide are installing self check-in kiosks for flyers.

At Helsinki-Vantaa Airport Finnair is offering self check-in for passengers on package tours and domestic flights, according to AsiaTravelTips.com. For added convenience, baggage tags can be printed out from self-service kiosks at Helsinki Airport Terminal 2 and in the nearby Hilton Hotel.

In St. Petersburg, Russia’s Pulkovo Airport, SITA’s AirportConnect Open platform was chosen to provide agent and self-service check-in for its six million passengers, according to SITA.

The five-year deal includes the installation of 100 new workstations and five CUSS (common use self-service) kiosks throughout the airport in addition to the modernization of the existing airport infrastructure.

SITA reports its AirportConnect Open is the only fully-integrated common use platform supporting CUPPS, CUTE, and web-based applications, as well as CUSS kiosk applications.
