Zytronic Displays Ltd., a U.K.-based touch technology provider, is teaming with Infinitus, a Slovenia-based digital signage manufacturer, to integrate its multitouch projected capacitive sensor into a public health kiosk that lets users view first aid information, call emergency services and even access to an automated external defibrillator, according to a press release.

"The usual locations of outdoor digital totems are accessible public spots," Damjan Oven, Infinitus CMO, said in the release. "These sites are therefore perfect for AEDs (automated external defibrillators)."

The finished unit incorporates mechanical push buttons to call emergency services and a heart rate sensor, together with a vandal-resistant touchscreen capable of working in all weather conditions.
