LINCOLN, Neb. - nanonation Inc., a developer of online media and software for kiosks, has released a kiosk architecture platform designed to work on the new Windows XP operating system.
The much-ballyhooed new Windows system uses advancements in integrated multimedia support, digital imaging, remote management and wireless networking. Bradley Walker, nanonation president, said in a company news release that XP's performance and stability standards were key factors in the decision to develop the product.
Nanonation announced on Oct. 2 that it had developed an architecture platform for Apple's Mac OS X operating system. The company announced at the time that Frank Mayer & Associates, a Milwaukee-based kiosk designer, had been hired to develop the Apple line of kiosks. Nanonation recently installed five Internet-access kiosks on the campus of Arizona State University.
