The Wisconsin Vehicle Inspection Program has launched a vehicle emission testing program that features self-service testing kiosks, according to a Fox 6 report.

Two kiosks have been installed at test-only facilities located in Milwaukee and Oak Creek. Residents whose vehicle model years are 2007 or newer can use the WIVIP testing kiosks.

Part of a larger initiative to expand emission testing in Wisconsin, the kiosks perform inspections on-demand with no appointment necessary. In addition to providing vehicle emission testing, the kiosk also provide registration renewal services.

The emissions testing is free and technical assistance centers remain in place to help owners whose cars do not pass inspection achieve compliance.
