Microsoft could be positioning its forthcoming Windows 8.1 as an attractive option for business use.
The Verge reported a leak that the next-gen software edition will come equipped with a "Kiosk Mode" feature, allowing for devices to be locked down to run a single application. The feature is well suited for customer-facing retail terminals and employee empowerment tools.
The article also reported potential tweaks to the Windows 8.1 user interface and alterations to several multitasking aspects such as Snap View, a method to run apps side-by-side.
