Wincor partnering with Pironet on retail ventures

World-class kiosk solutions company Wincor Nixdorf partnered with Pironet NDH on the Future Store initiative in Germany, where the latest technology is incorporated in the shopping experience.

Now Wincor Nixdorf wants to collaborate on other retail ventures with Pironet in the "Store Vision" program.

"Pironet NDH impressively proved how competent they are within the scope of the Future Store initiative," said Joachim Pinhammer, Wincor Nixdorf marketing director. "We will be able to usefully increase the efficiency of kiosks, promotional systems and PSAs (personal shopping assistants) with Pirobase technology."

Wincor Nixdorf developed the Beetle iScan self-checkout solution for European retailers. the system's Java-based software architecture is designed to allow easy integration with existing POS applications.
