Wincor Nixdorf to supply 4,500 outdoor payment terminals

September 15, 2004

PADERBORN  - Wincor Nixdorf has signed an international frame agreement with France's Total S.A. to supply up to 4,500 Outdoor Payment Terminals in eight countries. The first order covers the delivery of 500 units for Total's French service station network in order to improve customer satisfaction.

The rollout of "Namos paylane" is to commence at the beginning of 2005. Namos paylane accelerates the fueling process by allowing the customer to pay by card at the pump 24 hours a day. The terminals feature a touchscreen and meet stringent security requirements supporting the latest banking directives. Total sells car washes as well as fuel via Namos paylane. The large-format multimedia displays can also be used to advertise products and services.

Total has decided to use Wincor Nixdorf in its network in eight European countries and is already using Wincor Nixdorf point-of-sale systems in 1,000 service stations across Europe.
