AUSTIN, TEXAS - Wincor Nixdorf, Inc. will demonstrate solutions for retailers that streamline operations and extend the store at NRF 2005, at the Jacob J. Javits Convention Center, New York City, Jan. 16 to 19.
Wincor Nixdorf will introduce its BEETLE/iScan self-checkout system to the U.S. market. The scan-and-bag system is offered with an integrated attendant station that minimizes intervention and operating errors, and ensures rapid acceptance by customers.
Wincor Nixdorf's self-service kiosk will feature the RiverOak Riotouch offer/delivery system that enables retailers to expand opportunities for profit.
Other Wincor Nixdorf solutions featured include a preview of Microsoft's Windows Embedded Point of Service platform running on a BEETLE /S with Intel Pentium 4 technology. This solution features Wincor Nixdorf partner CRS Retail and allows retailers to take advantage of the latest Microsoft and Intel technology with proven store solutions.
Windows Embedded for Point of Service will be a core offering of Microsoft's Smarter Retailing Initiative, which provides an innovative approach based on open standards to allow retailers to take full advantage of their legacy investments by connecting the retail enterprise to the store and the consumer.
Wincor Nixdorf will also demonstrate its Portable Store Assistant (PSA), a compact and powerful platform for personal shopping as well as in-store applications such as line busting and inventory management.
Additional demonstrations include Wincor Nixdorf's world-class service and maintenance offerings and a JavaPOS/Linux demo featuring ADS Retail's Nextor application.
