Wincor Nixdorf will be demonstrating its new tablet-based "smart teller" solution for assisted self-service at the European ATMs 2014 exhibition which will take place June 3 and 4 in London, according to a company announcement.
The “smart teller” solution, which is part of Wincor Nixdorf’s PC/E software suite, is designed to help transform bank branches from transaction centers to sales and customer service culture locations, Wincor Nixdorf said. It allows bank staff to focus on advising customers and selling products, as well as assisting them with standard transactions by using teller-operated tablet PCs which are linked to ATMs.
Wincor Nixdorf will present this assisted customer service experience at European ATMs 2014 using the CINEO C4090, a new multifunctional banking terminal designed as an alternative to traditional front-office workstations.
The CINEO C4090 can be used either as a free-standing self-service machine inside the branch, or it can be integrated with the teller line. For example, a “floating teller” can be equipped with a tablet in order to monitor the self-service machine and assist customers who encounter problems.
Wincor Nixdorf said that the CINEO C4090 plus its tablet-based application open up new ways for banks to shape the service experience in their branches.
Wincor Nixdorf also will present its ATM-management service concept at European ATMs 2014. The company’s ATM-management service extends from delivery to installation, maintenance, monitoring and operation, the company said. Using its eServices Platform, Wincor Nixdorf said, offers rapid system recovery, preventive maintenance and software updates via remote connections.
