PADERBORN, Germany — Wincor Nixdorf International has announced plans to open a new business-support center in Dartford, a borough of Kent, England, located just outside London.
According to a news release, some 200 center staff will provide IT services to high-street retailers and banks. Wincor Nixdorf says it will provide help-desk services from the new premises.
"The move to Drake House marks a major development milestone for Wincor Nixdorf," said Nigel Mills, operations director for Wincor Nixdorf U.K. "For the first time, we will have an integrated service facility for all our U.K. retail and banking customers, and for the engineering teams on the road."
The center is undergoing refurbishment and staff members are relocating from an existing office. Some new hires and tranfsers to help staff the new center also are expected.
"Easy road and rail travel connections, combined with the excellent lakeside business-center setting, mean that we are delighted to have selected Dartford for our expansion," said Wincor Nixdorf U.K. managing director Paul Fisher.
