Wincor Nixdorf Hungary expands self-service to banks

BUDAPEST, Hungary -- On Oct. 1, 2003, Wincor Nixdorf Hungary is adding retail banking self-service and automation solutions to its offering, which has been limited to IT solutions for the retail trade.

Sales of banking solutions, which were previously conducted via a partner, are now to be brought in-house and stepped up, according to a news release.

Attila Nagy, managing director of Wincor Nixdorf Hungary, said, "We want to become the preferred IT partner to banks in Hungary for self-service solutions and raise our market share significantly."

One service Wincor Nixdorf is concentrating on in Hungary is the introduction of cash-recycling systems.

"At the heart of its software offering is Wincor Nixdorf's multi-vendor-compatible ProClassic software family, which is ideally suited to running heterogeneous system environments like those in Hungary," said Nagy.
