Wincor Nixdorf expands lottery biz in Europe

ALLINN, Estonia -- AS Eesti Loto will install 330 Wincor Nixdorf XION /M lottery terminals in its lottery sales outlets by the end of the year.

According to a news release, this win is another step forward in the expansion of Wincor Nixdorf's lottery business in Europe.

The system configuration will be made up of a 12.1-inch touchscreen, a Beetle /M system unit, a Xiscan lottery scanner and a Xiprint thermal printer. Eesti Loto will develop its own application software in-house using toolkits provided by the Lottery Solutions Business.

Since its formation in 1971, AS Eesti Loto has consistently expanded its gaming proposition. In fiscal 2000, the company made net sales of about 115 million Estonian crowns (around 7.4 million euros).
