WestJet to institute bag-tag label kiosk
July 5, 2010
WestJet Airlines now offers customers the option of tagging their own luggage, enabling them to save time at the counter, according to a story in the Vancouver Sun.
The tags are printed at the airport by customers who have checked in through cell phones, the Web or a kiosk. Passengers then take their bags to a drop-off location.
The system has been tested in airports in Edmonton, Vancouver and Montreal since earlier this year.
