Residents and visitors in Hancock, West Virginia, can view historical pictures on kiosks recently installed on a Main Street sidewalk, according to a Morgan Messenger report.

Each of the six kiosks has historical pictures commemorating a building or an event at that location.

A pair of kiosks at Breathed Park recount the "Davis Hotel" with the "Perkins House" on one side and a team of huskies on the other.

The kiosks are a venture between the historical society and the town in memory of the late Homer Schetrompf who came up with the idea of having markers to share historical information.

The Maryland Correctional Institute and Mercersburg Printing created the kiosks.
