Vending machines offering free COVID-19 and flu tests have launched in Washington state, according to an Axios Seattle report.
The Department of Health plans to have 20 test-dispensing kiosks through the state, a spokesperson told Axios.
Four are up and running in the following counties: Grays Harbor County, Thurston County and Pierce County. Sixteen more have been approved.
The program "ensures Washington communities with underserved populations have easy access to COVID-19 testing and essential health supplies, breaking down barriers to care," Kristina Allen, the state health department's community testing supervisor, said in a news release.
