Walmart tests self-checkout only counters

A Walmart store in Fayetteville, Arkansas has tested self-checkout counters in place of cashiers, according to a Fox Business report.

A company spokesperson said Walmart Supercenter Store #359 is replacing its conveyor belt lanes with self-checkout counters to see if self-checkout will speed up purchases while providing a safer shopping through less interaction.
