Visa to push contactless payment in Malaysia

Btimes.com: Visa aims to develop a contactless-payment environment in Malaysia after issuing 330,000 Visa Wave cards that are accepted at 2,500 outlets. Visa rolled out the commercial program in 2005. Visa Wave enables cardholders to make payments by holding their cards close to the reader, removing the need to swipe or insert a chip into the payment reader.
