VirTra zips up Dallas technology growth list

June 2, 2002

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Virtual reality and kiosk systems developer VirTra Systems Inc.(OTCBB:VTSI), which emerged from the merger of GameCom Inc. and Ferris Productions Inc. last year, has landed a spot on the list of 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The Dallas Business Journal ranked VirTra fourth on its list of fastest-growing companies based on growth between 2000 and 2001. The list was one of two the Business Journal created for its May 31 issue; the other ranked the top tech companies by growth since 1998. The publication's Web site did not detail VirTra's revenue growth during the 2000-2001 period.

Since announcing its merger plans last year, VirTra, then known as GameCom/Ferris Inc., has embarked on strategic growth initiatives built around expanding the company's core markets. Known primarily for gaming entertainment kiosks (GameCom) and virtual reality technology (Ferris), the company has pursued opportunities in the simulation and training markets.

Topping the list of fastest-growing companies between 2000 and 2001 was Fuego Inc., a software developer that registered revenue growth of 598 percent during the coverage period.
