Vietnam to require some air passengers to use kiosks

Flyers at Vietnamese airlines must now use check-in kiosks or the VNeiD app with biometric authentication for the boarding process of purchasing tickets, checking-in and boarding flights.

Customers can only check in at the counter if they have checked baggage, according to a report by MSN.

The directive by the Vietnamese government aims to improve the customer experience and reduce wait times.

With this change, customers won't have to worry about bringing their identity card as they can complete the process via the app.
